Forum on Islamic Feminism

Assalamualaikum..:)

         Islamic Feminism forum was held on 2nd October 2012 at Experimental Hall, IIUM. The speakers on that day are Dr Fadhilah Grine, Dr Aldila Isahak and Ms Ratna Osman. The moderator for this forum is Dr Fauziah Mohd Noor who is IIUM lecturer. This forum discussed on Islamic feminism which is a form of feminism concerned with the role of women in Islam.

Dr Fadhilah Grine is visiting lecturer in Universiti Malaya.

     

Ms Ratna Osman was giving out her ideas on the topic discussed.

Participants focused on the forum.

Women Conference

Women Conference was held on 30^th October 2012 at Main Audi Engineering. This conference discussed about economy, society and right of women. This programme serves the purpose for women in Muslim world who wants to know their rights and also the place of women in this world.

 Sis Tami Sue Newberry as a moderator in Women Conference.

YB Mumtaz Md Nawi as speaker.

Prof Harlina Harliza Haji Siraj gave talk about Women & Society.

Sis Afsha Hossain who got rector's award for excellence in academic performance was one of the speaker in Women Conference.

Hajjah Mumtz Md Nawi talked about Women's Right.

 Sis Afsha Hossain presented her first paperwork about women and economy.

Grooming Session

Assalamualaikum :)

On 1st October 2012, International Women Convention organised an event for sisters only in a special session, GROOMING. This event was conducted in Malay, and the objective is to boost up the level of confidence among sisters .

This two days programme (30^th September & 2^nd October 2012) serves the purpose for the women in Muslim world who wants to know their rights and also the place of women in this world. This programme is organized by Students’ Representative Council 2010/ 2011 and will be held at the Main Auditori`um, River Side & Experimental Hall, IIUM. The person in charge of this programme will be Abdul Hakeem Bin Sazali.
